Project coming to life: Oar Inspired
This has been great to see an idea coming to life and obviously it's very special for Des the owner and developer of the Oar Inspired gate, intelligate.
Today we had a little photo hoot for the Australian News paper for an article for next week.
My personal role has been to assist Des where I can as an advisor to the project.. Its been great to be able to discuss ideas around measuring and improvement in rowing. To be able to help in someway to guide and encourage his thinking has been rewarding. I love the idea of innovation in sport and to have direct impact on what's needed to enable rowing to move forward in this area is of great interest.
The new gate and other elements like displays and other input devices will be an integrated system which will make a significance to those in the boat and coaches using it.
